Metals have always been used in making inhabitable structures but the art of using predominantly metals is certainly modern and these structures are more commonly called metal buildings. However, the traditional sources of buildings can be used too along with iron steel etc for added strength especially at irreplaceable points like adhesives are used at joints. The conventional building material may also be used as per the need in the metal building and variation may occur with the manufacturer for example some manufacturers still use cement or other adhesives for better binding. Recently, metal buildings have been prepared from a single sheet of metal bend to form the complete structure and in this way the need to use non metallic traditional building material was done away with. Metal buildings are largely made up of steel and other alloys of the same properties of steel and there are many aspects to it.
