In some cases, you will need a document scanner with a much higher resolution. If you are planning to scan photographs as well as documents, you may want to look into a flatbed document scanner. There is a wide array of different models on the market, many with advanced features and attachments. If you want to capture your photo images with as much detail as possible, a 24 bit sampling document scanner would be the one to go for. If you need even more detail from your photographs, you may have to spend more for a dedicated photo document scanner.
